MY THOUGHTS
Let's not forget Israel. Europe has controlled the headlines for months now, but in the background there is a rumble of thunder behind a storm which is ready to take the world. This week is the last chance for peace talks to be a success. It is actually today that the deadline was made, and the Palestinians have declared peace talks over. The international community is demanding Israel to give up lands it captured in the 1967 war. This includes East Jerusalem (E. Jerusalem). These lands were predicted by Jesus to experience massive Jewish persecution by the hands of the Antichrist (Matthew 24). The end of peace talks may be setting up a future persecution as Israel bucks the international community. If we are living in these times, then we must understand that the world will be against Christians and Jews.
As the world economy implodes, I believe Israel will be front and center in some type of deception or conflict to bring the nation to the hatred of the whole world. The EU's Foreign Minister Ashton has visited Israel, and the UN Chief will visit Israel soon. The EU is taken the lead to force Israel to give up her land. In time, the EU will send a man to E. Jerusalem to force Israel to give over her land, and the Gentiles will control E. Jerusalem for 42 months. Israel controls E. Jerusalem today. Remember, it is not the United States, but the European Union that will send a powerful figure. The United States will back up the European Union with troops and support as the Bible states the world will be against God's people.
In an uplifting moment, remember God is in control. Jesus Christ said these things will take place. Our redemption is drawing near. Our hopes and dreams will become a reality, and we will be taken out of this world to be placed in a world that was made for us. We are supposed to feel uncomfortable in this world for we were made for a higher calling. He has adopted us in His family, and Jesus brought the Kingdom of God to you and me through His Holy Spirit. Rejoice, you have the Kingdom of God in you, and that Kingdom can be found in every man and woman who trusts in His Son, Jesus Christ. There is hope among the darkness. Until next time.

The time frame that the Palestinians have allowed for talks with Israel in Amman under Jordanian auspices expires on Thursday. According to diplomatic sources associated with the Middle East Quartet - the United States, United Nations, European Union and Russia - last-minute efforts are underway to head off the talks' collapse, but the prospects seem slim.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's representative to the Amman talks, Isaac Molho, met on Wednesday in the Jordanian capital for a fifth time with the head of the Palestinian negotiating team Saeb Erekat - but at this point no formula has been reached that would enable the talks to continue. Erekat made it clear that because Israel has not presented its position on the issue of borders with a Palestinian state, from the Palestinians' standpoint, the talks have ended.

Before the latest Molho-Erekat meeting, Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas met in Amman with Jordanian King Abdullah and told the monarch from his standpoint talks with Israel had run their course without results. Abbas said that Israel had refused to recognize the borders of a Palestinian state, but if there was a change there was nothing preventing a return to the negotiating table.
Abbas said he would consult with Arab allies next week to figure out how to proceed. He is under pressure to extend the Jordanian-mediated exploratory talks, which the international community hopes will lead to a resumption of long-stalled formal negotiations on establishing a Palestinian state.
