MY THOUGHTS
Iranian supreme leader Khamenei supposedly has had his last war council, and announced war within weeks. DEBKA is a source that needs more corroboration before I take it too seriously. However, with the military buildup and the Syrian crisis at hand, it cannot be ruled out. If this report is true, then there will be much more about this in the days ahead. God told us there will be rumors of war. Whether this is Psalm 83, Ezekiel 38/39, Isaiah 17, or another prophetic battle ahead remains to be seen. What we know is that war is in the air.
Turkey and the United States have decided to speed up the Syrian transition, or ousting of Assad. Russia, Iran, and China cannot be very happy. In Ezekiel 38/39 we see China absent, and Turkey aligning themselves with Russia and Iran in an epic attack against Israel. I believe in time, Turkey will side more with Iran and Russia while the United States takes the position of neutrality. Everyone's enemy is Israel so the hatred of Israel will make the nations come together against them. In Ezekiel 38:13, the nations of Tarshish, which includes modern day Europe and the United States, will align themselves with Dedan, Saudi Arabia, and do nothing to defend Israel. Israel will be left all alone in the world, but God will come to defend her.
Russia and Iran know Obama is no friend to Israel, and Romney is the wild card. I know he offered his full support to Israel, but so has so many contenders to the American Presidency. Obama is no wild card for the world knows he loathes Israel. The enemies of Israel may see this as a moment to attack God's people before someone comes into office that may not sit on the sidelines and does nothing in Israel's defense. Time will tell.
Events are accelerating as Europe's August and September may be memorable as economies are expected to fall. Look for a new round of printing money to save off catastrophe, and it seems Roubini, the economist, is correct when he said late 2012 into 2013 there is likely a worldwide economic collapse. Stay strong in the Word, and the days are getting more interesting.

On July 27, just before Friday prayers, Iran's supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei summoned top Iranian military chiefs for what he called "their last war council."
"We'll be at war within weeks," he told the gathering, debkafile's exclusive Iranian and intelligence sources disclose.
Present were Defense Minister General Ahmad Vahidi, Khamenei's military adviser General Yahya Rahim-Safavi, Armed Forces Chief Major General Seyed Hassan Firuzabadi, Revolutionary Guards Corps commander General Mohammad Ali Jafari and Al Qods Brigades chief General Qassem Soleimani. The commanders of the air force, the navy and ground forces were also there.
Each of the participants was tapped to report on the readiness of his branch or sector for shouldering its contingency mission.
