MY THOUGHTS
Thank you for your prayers as I recover nicely from laparoscopic gall bladder surgery. I will be back to my normal routine very soon, and I thank God He is continuing working through me.
Now on to some disturbing, but prophetic news.
The United States has scaled down an important military exercise with Israel. President Obama has done everything but publicly tell Israel not to attack Iran. This is a great gamble with Obama as the November elections are coming up, and any hint of an anti-Israeli stance Obama may take will cost him votes and possibly the election. Therefore there are a couple of conclusions we can draw from this.
First, Israel is really serious about attacking Iran. Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu and Defense Minister Barak seemingly have decided to attack Iran. This new development may keep Israel from attacking Iran, but may not stop war. Iran and its allies know the United States will neither support nor defend Israel in the face of a war with its enemies. Iran and it's allies may take this time to attack Israel fulfilling Ezekiel 38/39. Ezekiel 38/39 describes a time where Tarshish and her young lions will not come to the defense of Israel, which I believe is Europe and the United States. We know Ezekiel tells us someone much better will stand by her side and it is God.
Second, the West has decided to turn against Israel. Zechariah prophesied all nations will see Jerusalem as a stumbling stone, and all nations will be against Jerusalem in the last days. Obama's decision tells us Israel has no one on their side accept like minded Christians. Count me among those Christians who faithfully pray for the peace of Jerusalem.
Whether Israel will attack Iran or not remains to be seen, but we know Ezekiel tells us it is an attack on Israel that is prophetic, and that war will send a clear message God is on the side of Israel. I believe Obama's desertion of Israel puts Israel in a very precarious position, and the judgment of God will accelerate in the West through economic means. Look for severe economic distress in the West, which will lead to the mark of the beast. Most Christians will not see this movement of God as they will be more concerned with their love of money and this life. Take heart, God has conquered the world through His Son Jesus Christ, and I hope you call Him Lord.
