MY THOUGHTS
Turkey, Russia, and Iran are all working on a some type of treaty to end the Syrian infighting. A reader posted on the comment section of my prior commentary this very news item. I thank him for that. You can see the Gog alliance forming around Syria. If Hezbollah attacks Israel through the orders of Iran, then I can see Israel retaliating by hitting Damascus. Damascus is not only the headquarters of the Syrian government, but I have a suspicion the Turkish, Russian, Iranian alliance is also in the city. Isaiah 17 may be fulfilled soon, and if so, then we need to really pray for the citizens of Damascus for their salvation.
The Obama scandal surrounding the embassy attack at Benghazi is showing that al Qaeda is getting much stronger in Libya. As the Gog alliance is forming, the Libyan element is coming together as the Libyan al Qaeda sector is getting stronger and more militant against its neighbors, including Israel. Sudan is the other nation in Ezekiel's Gog alliance, and they have had a very militant Islamic military for quite some time, and their cooperation with Iran and their surrogates attacking Israel will happen with no surprise.
The weakening of the United States and the strengthening of the European Union in the Middle East proves that we are close to prophetic fulfillment. Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu will be traveling to Europe to discuss Iran, but Netanyahu is not welcomed by the US President. This shows a shift where Israel is making deals with Europe instead of the United States. This may change with Mitt Romney, but this shift will become more permanent as Europe gets a stronger foothold in the Middle East economically and diplomatically. America will back Europe with their military. This is the very situation described in Scriptures.
As the world's armies are surrounding Jerusalem more every day, we will continue to see the nations of the world go through difficult times through protests and economic upheaval. The days of Elijah, Daniel, and John are upon us. It is now that we see prophecy being fulfilled. In the near future these prophetic movements will become more evident as major prophecies of old are on our television screens.

Turkish Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan met with Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on the sidelines of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) Summit in Baku on Tuesday to discuss the possibility of Iran, Turkey and Egypt leading a peace process to end the conflict in Syria, according to Turkey's Anadolu News Agency.
Erdogan's plan comes on the heels of a quartet scheme recently devised by Egyptian president Mohamed Morsi which was rejected by Saudi Arabia because it involved Shiite Iran, Syria's chief ally.
Erdogan said he proposed various scenarios for other key stakeholders to get involved in future talks on Syria.
"We proposed a three-way system here. This system could be a trio of Turkey-Egypt-Iran," Erdogan said to reporters upon his return to Ankara. "A second system could be Turkey-Russia-Iran. A third system could be Turkey-Egypt-Saudi Arabia." (I think we know which one don't we?Bro. Brian)
Erdogan also said during Tuesday's meeting that Iran and Turkey "enjoy abundant capacities for the further expansion of bilateral ties."
