AUGUST NEWS
As I said previously, August set the fall up to be an eventful month. First, the peace process is going to start September 1st with meetings with the White House, and then on September 2nd a big introduction will happen. There are reports that this may not happen in Washington DC as previously reported, but in Cairo, Egypt or Jerusalem, Israel. I would suspect Washington DC. Wouldn't it be very interesting if the peace process opens up in Jerusalem, of all places. Reports show that there is not much hope in the current push for peace as the settler movement is the main obstacle to peace. Satan does not want the Jews to resettle the land so his influence on the world powers is pushing the world elites to force Israel to stop settlement construction. On September 26th, 2010, the settlement freeze, currently in place, will end. There are Israeli sources reporting that Israel does not want to extend the settlement freeze, and the Palestinians are threatening to pull out of the peace talks if this happens. According to Matthew 24, the settlers in Judea, this is the area around E. Jerusalem. These settler Jews will run to the mountains as the Antichrist chooses these individuals as the first he persecutes after he is revealed in Jerusalem. This is supposed to happen at the midpoint of the 70th week of Daniel, according to my understanding.
Second, Iran's introduction to the nuclear world has been greeted with tepid responses from the West. According to Ezekiel 38, the world will respond tepidly to the coming Iranian/Russian/Turkish invasion of Israel in the last days. It is at this moment that the Jews will recognize that God's Son Jesus was the Messiah after all. Their eyes will begin to open, and the fullness of the Gentiles will be coming to an end. We see the tepid responses from the West as a possible prelude to the great battle of Gog/Magog in the future. I suspect the Iranian nuclear program will bring much destruction in the world, and this future destruction may be a part of the Second Seal of Revelation.
Third, the marginalization of evangelical Christians is continuing. An evangelical Christian is one who believes the only way to God is through faith in Jesus Christ and his redemptive work, and not through works. Much of the Christian world inaccurately and sadly believes ritual and daily works gain salvation, but it does not. Anyway, the Ground Zero Mosque controversy shows the true intent of not only the American President, but of government as a whole. Franklin Graham, a leading American evangelical and son of the famous evangelist Billy Graham, was not allowed to participate in a Christian event, National Day of Prayer, in early May. The government talks out of the other side of its mouth declaring religious rights for the mosque in New York City. Much of the secular media talks about the right wing fanatics that do not want the mosque, even though the latest poll suggests 51% of Americans do not want the mosque at Ground Zero. The elites and government officials are out of touch with their populace, which leads to tyranny. This shows that the slide toward persecution is becoming more evident. It is not the push for Islam by the American government that is so worrisome, but their main objective to marginalize and demonize evangelical Christians. In time, the great persecution of evangelical Christians in the Great Tribulation will happen after war and economic calamity strangles the world. We see the seeds planted by the world elites today for tomorrow's horror that will affect all believers in Jesus Christ one way or another.
SEPTEMBER NEWS
As the uncertainty of the world continues, September could be very eventful. I will not repeat much what I said above, but look for Obama to play an important role in the Middle East peace process, and watch European figures such as Tony Blair and Javier Solana to come into to picture. Iran is pushing for its own Armageddon, and one day soon the Ezekiel prophecies will come to pass. Look for Psalm 83, Isaiah 17, and other Scriptures to come to pass so be knowledgeable in them. It is not just the spiritual part of life Christians must be well-verse in, but in the political developments as well.
MY THOUGHTS
God is not only preparing the actors for prophecy, they are playing their part this very hour. We do not wait for prophecy to happen anymore, it is here in our lifetime. We cannot predict when the Son will come, but we can give out the warning. In our warning about His Coming, we cannot forget the central message of salvation in Jesus Christ. God wants His Glory to be shown through us, and for that to happen, we must all be the children of God that He desires. So many of those who sit in church every week just play the part they think they need to play. There is not much desire for the lost anymore. We care about the church's technical functions more than the church's mission to save lost souls. In the lukewarm church we live in today, it is hard to imagine revival starting at the church house. As a Bible teacher some time ago stated, "The true church started out in the home, and it will end in the home." In that I sadly but humbly concur.

Israel and the Palestinians are unlikely to reach an agreement within a year, Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman said on Wednesday.
Speaking to Israel Radio, the foreign minister said that the Palestinians are making too many demands and that the Americans are forcing them to attend talks. Lieberman sought to lessen expectations, saying of the opening of new negotiations that, "It will be just another event like all such festive occasions."
