MY THOUGHTS
God has a plan for this old earth. Isaiah chapters 65-66 and Revelation chapters 21-22 tell the ending where eternity (heaven) will be brought down to this earth with the New City of Jerusalem with streets of gold, the river of life, and the tree of life under the Glory of God will preside with all believers enjoying her splendor. Also, a new universe for all of us to explore and enjoy will be our frontier in eternity. Satan knows this, and he has his demons ready to thwart a plan that cannot be changed. This leads us to the news of today.
The Palestinians are writing the script in today's headlines. The Palestinians say that they will have all things in place by next year for them to declare a Palestinian state. The issue that will bring it all to a halt is East Jerusalem, which is the Biblical part of Jerusalem. Who controls E. Jerusalem controls the world. Settlers in E. Jerusalem and the surrounding areas will be the scapegoat when it all falls apart. We know it will especially fall apart at the midpoint of the 70th week of Daniel. If this is setting up the treaty, then that will be a few years from now.
I am anxious to see who attends this week's meetings in Washington DC, and who does not. The EU's Ashton is not attending at the moment which is major. What European voice will be heard? Evidently Ashton is being put to the sidelines for a reason. That reason will not be known for while. A lot of chess pieces being moved around, and until we see more clearly what this peace push is all about, we can only go by the information we have in the Word and the news today. A lot of false prophets out there, religious and political, so be careful what you hear and take in.
There is a battle of Jerusalem. That battle is as old as when Abraham talked to Melchizedek in Genesis. We see this being played out in the current push for peace. Netanyahu is going to the United States while his country is being attacked like nothing before since World War II. We may not see guns in the streets, but they are coming. The diplomatic war will turn bloody in the future. It won't be limited to just Jerusalem, but the entire world will be affected one way or another. Take heart, He has conquered the world and all its problems, and one day Jerusalem will be free from her sin.

Palestinian Prime Minister Salam Fayyad on Monday presented his plan for the second year of the establishment of Palestinian Authority institutions.
According to Fayyad's document, the Palestinians will have completed the bulk of the changes deemed necessary for the establishment of an independent state within a year.

He called on the Palestinian public to lend its support to the second and "final year" of his plan in order to complete the necessary steps before the establishment of "our own state."

WHAT I KNOW
*The Obama peace push is serious, and the world has laid down an ultimatum of one year of signing a treaty, with a ten year or less implementation.
*God said in the last days the Antichrist will confirm a seven year treaty, and the False Prophet will force the world to worship the Antichrist and his program of world peace.
*The world is already changing the vocabulary from 'war on terror' to 'war on fundamentalism of all religions', which is getting the world ready for evangelical Christian persecution.
WHAT I DON'T KNOW
*I don't know how the ENP will play out in the end?
*I don't know if the Obama peace process will lead to the prophetic treaty spoken in Daniel?
MY THOUGHTS
The White House wants a deal now, within a year, and then have an interim agreement lasting somewhere around ten years. Sound familiar? I have stated that we must wait and see how the news plays out to understand what is really going on, and determine if prophecy is being fulfilled. I have also stated that we should not be surprised if an interim agreement is signed lasting seven years. My friends, we may have that before us right now. I know it is frustrating. Oslo came and gone, the European Neighborhood Policy (ENP) is still around, but is it prophetic? Now we have a new repackaged deal on the way. Be patient. A follower of God does not get caught up in the emotion of it all, but steadies himself like a race horse so that he/she can finish the race. The race is before us right now.
The main problem I had with the ENP is that there was no Temple rebuilt, and some issues seemed unsettled. However, we had to follow it because we had a man who came from ten nations, and confirmed the Barcelona Process. I still don't count out the ENP totally, but as time goes on we have to understand that the ENP brought the EU in the Middle East, but did it bring about the prophetic treaty spoken in Daniel. Following the ENP was not a sin or chasing a wild goose, but it was a step in prophecy that may matter more than people think. We will continue to follow the possible prophetic implications of the ENP, and we also will follow the current push for peace and the possible treaty that might be signed sometime next year.
The process that is being pushed right now has nothing, as far as I can tell, to do with the ENP. The Obama peace process will have in its goal a treaty signed and delivered within 1 year. Interestingly, August/September is supposed to be the time the finished document is signed, which is around Av 9 on the Jewish calendar, which is August 8th-9th, 2011. Anyway, by August/September of next year a treaty is supposed to be signed, and could be a confirmation of earlier treaties such as Oslo and the Camp David Accords attempt, and after the signing a time period of ten years or less will be issued for implementation. If this is the treaty, watch for benchmarks to be issued. One benchmark that prophecy watchers should look for is the 3 ½ year benchmark. Also, the signing of the treaty may happen on a holy day in the fall, which many prophecy teachers believed the treaty would be signed anyway.
Also, we also must look at all the players involved, not only the American President. I still believe the Antichrist will come from one of the 10 Western European Nations, which leaves Tony Blair as a prime candidate, and we still have the ageing Javier Solana. Will another rise up? There are reports that Obama is not interested in reelection as America's President, but after his four years as President, he wants to be a world leader in some form or another. False Prophet, another prophetic role, all of this is too early to tell. As disappointing as the possible inaction of the ENP in prophecy, this news should excite people about this new and reused process before us. There are a lot of obstacles, but if God's time is now, then all things will progress according to the Word, and not on our own understanding. Look for fits and starts, but if this is it, then some success will happen; at least enough to confirm a treaty by next late summer/early fall. If so, then don't get weary, another treaty is on the way.

Daniel 9:27
"And he will make a firm covenant with the many for one week, but in the middle of the week he will put a stop to sacrifice and grain offering; and on the wing of abominations will come one who makes desolate, even until a complete destruction, one that is decreed, is poured out on the one who makes desolate."
NOTE: This one verse describes the whole last seven years called the 70th week of Daniel, because the 70th week is the last week of the prophecy of 70 weeks God told Daniel was meant for his people, Israel. Please study J. Vernon McGee or another Bible believing commentary to understand the meaning of the 70th week.

The Obama administration plans to present Israel and the Palestinian Authority with a new outline aimed at ending the Middle East conflict.
The Yedioth Ahronoth daily has learned that the Americans will pressure the parties to sign a framework agreement for a permanent settlement within one year, but that the agreement itself would be implemented within 10 years.
The American administration plans to invest every effort to guarantee that the direct talks between Israel and the Palestinians, which will be launched officially next Thursday, will end with an agreement rather than with a crisis, as in previous negotiations.
